Are you an innovator, an entrepreneur, or an individual serving your community and generating a positive social impact?

In partnership with The Congress of Aboriginal People's, Pure & Applied is developing an interactive website. This website is designed to help individuals, families, and communities learn about Social Innovation or see their work as Social Innovation in order to access more resources.

We believe that it is incredibly impactful for early-stage innovators to hear from those with lived experience working in their communities and beyond.

So, how can you get involved?

  1. Submit a video clip (1 minute maximum) of yourself offering wisdom, support, and/or a messages of inspiration to early stage social innovators. Webcam/smartphone quality works great. Be sure to test out your audio before submitting.

  2. Please submit your video clips to m.damiani@abo-peoples.org providing your name, organization (if relevant), and links to your social media/online stores/websites so that we can properly offer credit.

  3. Complete and attache this media release form in the email as well.

Some tips to help you make the highest quality video:

  • Choose a nice well lit area in your home with a nice static backdrop.

  • Facing a natural light source, such as a window, is ideal. Avoid having any light sources behind you to avoid unwanted backlighting (silhouetting).

  • Make sure the space you choose is quiet and doesn't have too much echo. Try to avoid any unnecessary background noise.

  • Make sure you are looking directly into the camera – making eye contact with the viewer.

  • Make sure your voice is clear and that you speaking loud enough.

Thank you for your help. Together, we can help more Indigenous innovators achieve their dreams with their community supporting them all the way.
